Amy Marsh said the move could inhibit people from going out of their comfort zone, calling the rule \u201cstrange\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a hard thing to go into a bar on your own and if anything it should be encouraged.\u201d<\/p>\n

But others referenced \u201cweird\u201d interactions with single drinkers, particularly drunken men. <\/p>\n

Though the ban does not apply to singles specifically, Nicola Slawson, author of Single: Living a Complete Life on Your Own Terms, told Metro the policy makes singles seem \u201cweird or freaky\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s so many reasons to be on your own and to lump everyone in the same box is quite sickening, it\u2019s really hurtful to a lot of single people.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do understand they\u2019re trying to protect people, but you\u2019re just throwing all single people under the bus because there are a few letchy people.\u201d<\/p>\n
