Author Colleen Hoover<\/a>, writer of It Ends With Us, broke her silence on the Blake Lively<\/a> and Justin Baldoni<\/a> lawsuit. In December 2024, Blake filed paperwork accusing Justin of sexual harassment, creating a \u201chostile work environment\u201d and causing \u201csevere emotional distress\u201d during filming.<\/p>\n

It Ends With Us was adapted from Colleen\u2019s novel. The 2024 movie documents Blake\u2019s character Lily Bloom\u2019s abusive relationship with Ryle Kincaid, played by Justin. He also directed the film.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Elle<\/a>\u00a0published November 20, Colleen said, \u201cIt feels like a circus. When there are real people involved, with real feelings and emotions.\u201d She added that it was sad that this drama impacted their careers<\/a> in huge ways.<\/p>\n

Colleen is preparing to give a deposition in the case within a few weeks. She\u2019s \u201ctrying to stay removed from the negativity\u201d during the dispute.<\/p>\n

Blake told The New York Times, \u201cI hope that my legal action helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and helps protect others who may be targeted.\u201d<\/p>\n

After calling Blake\u2019s accusations \u201ccompletely false, outrageous and intentionally salacious,\u201d Bryan Freedman, Justin\u2019s lawyer, said she made \u201cmultiple demands and threats\u201d during filming, like not showing up to filming and not promoting the movie. The lawsuit was filed to \u201cfix her negative reputation,\u201d he added. Blake was a producer on the movie.<\/p>\n

Colleen initially supported Blake on her Instagram Story, writing, \u201cBlake Lively you have been nothing but honest, kind, supportive and patient since the day we met. Thank you for being exactly the human that you are. Never change. Never wilt.\u201d She later deleted the account and has kept silent until now.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have my own story I could tell \u2026 but I don\u2019t want to bring attention to it, and I don\u2019t want to have to put someone else down to lift myself up,\u201d Colleen said to Elle. \u201cSo, I\u2019d rather just ignore it and let people think and say what they\u2019re going to say.\u201d<\/p>\n

Blake and Justin\u2019s trial is scheduled for March 2026.<\/p>\n
