Ice Spice values every bit of wisdom she\u2019s received from Taylor Swift. In her NYLON cover story published on Wednesday (Sept. 10), the Bronx rapper recalled one particularly memorable piece of advice from her close friend<\/a> and \u201cKarma (Remix)\u201d collaborator.<\/p>\n She started off by noting how Swift \u201ckeeps it so real,\u201d especially for someone of her stature. \u201cNot even kidding, but one of the biggest things that I always think about that Taylor said is \u2018As long as you keep making music, everything\u2019s going to be fine,\u2019\u201d Ice Spice told the publication<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Grammy-nominated rapper stressed that Swift doesn’t just hand out advice every time they talk. \u201cWe\u2019re talking about the food we\u2019re eating or whatever\u2019s going on in the moment,\u201d she added. However, when the topic does turn to music, Ice Spice said her words hit home: \u201cWhenever I\u2019m feeling doubtful or not as confident, having writer\u2019s block no matter what it is, things like that really, really stand out to me.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cShe said that to me a few years ago, and it still stood with me,\u201d Ice Spice recalled. The pair solidified their friendship with \u201cKarma (Remix),\u201d which earned over 5 million streams its debut weekend and surpassed Nicki Minaj\u2019s previous record<\/a> at the time. That same month, they performed the song together on Swift\u2019s \u201cEras Tour\u201d stop at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.<\/p>\n Over the years, they\u2019ve continued to publicly support each other \u2014 Ice being among the many artists who celebrated Swift\u2019s THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT<\/a> last year.<\/p>\n As for her own music, Ice Spice is gearing up for a new era with \u201cBaddie Baddie,\u201d which samples M.I.A.\u2019s \u201cBad Girls.\u201d She first teased the record in August and confirmed a music video is set to accompany the forthcoming single whenever it releases. \u201cI\u2019m very excited to drop a visual more than anything, and I\u2019m going to pace myself,\u201d she shared with NYLON. \u201cWhen I drop this visual, I\u2019m going to let my fans soak it up.\u201d<\/p>\n
