\n\t\u201cMy wife comes out of the bathroom. She\u2019s got her phone. She goes, \u2018Trump tweeted, you should be fired again,\u201d Kimmel recounted. \u201cI was like, \u2018Oh.\u2019 Then I went downstairs and made bagels for the kids.\u201d The host read the president\u2019s social media post for the audience, then asked, \u201cI\u2019m the bum?\u201d He continued, \u201cHe posted this at 12:49 a.m. \u2014 11 minutes after the show ended on the East Coast. Which is nice. He watches us live. Hi, Mr. President! Thanks for watching us on TV instead of on YouTube. We appreciate that. It\u2019s viewers like you who keep us on the air, ironically.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI have honestly lost count of how many times the president has demanded I be pulled off the air,\u201d he continued. \u201cTalk about a snowflake, this guy. Every five weeks, he flips out and wants me fired.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYou\u2019ve done this before. You tried to get me fired in September, it didn\u2019t work, Mr. President,\u201d Kimmel said, before making Trump a proposal. \u201cHow about this: I\u2019ll go when you go, okay? We\u2019ll be a team. Let\u2019s ride off into the sunset together like Butch Cassidy and the Suntan Kid.\u201d <\/p>\n
