Discovery<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/singapore\/\" id=\"auto-tag_singapore\" data-tag=\"singapore\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Singapore<\/a>\u2018s <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/infocomm-media-development-authority\/\" id=\"auto-tag_infocomm-media-development-authority\" data-tag=\"infocomm-media-development-authority\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Infocomm Media Development Authority<\/a> have launched a partnership to co-develop original unscripted entertainment formats with global appeal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe collaboration launches with a masterclass series Dec. 3-4 at the Asia TV Forum &amp; Market, part of the Singapore Media Festival 2025. Content executives from WBD\u2019s Global and APAC Networks, along with Warner Bros. International Television Production, will lead sessions covering unscripted content development, storytelling and format globalization.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tFollowing the masterclass, IMDA and WBD will open submissions for Singapore-based production companies. Selected projects will advance to an unscripted bootcamp in early 2026, with potential co-production and premiere opportunities across WBD\u2019s international networks in 2027. Successful formats may be included in WBITVP\u2019s sales portfolio for wider distribution.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cThis is where Singapore\u2019s creative talent meets international expertise,\u201d said Yvonne Tang, assistant chief executive of IMDA\u2019s Media Industry Group. \u201cThe masterclass will fuel innovation and create co-production opportunities that showcase Singapore\u2019s storytelling power to the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tMyriam Lopez-Otazu, senior VP of international unscripted content and global networks for EMEA at WBD, noted the company\u2019s unscripted slate includes \u201cDeadliest Catch,\u201d \u201cProperty Brothers,\u201d \u201cBorder Control\u201d and \u201cFirst Man Out.\u201d \u201cWe\u2019re always on the lookout for dynamic new ideas that complement our popular slate and bring fresh stories to local and international audiences,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tLynn Ng, GVP and head of content for APAC Networks at WBD, added: \u201cThis new partnership with IMDA reflects a commitment to support the local creative industry, combining homegrown talent with WBD\u2019s unrivalled unscripted expertise. We look forward to welcoming producers to the ATF sessions next month and exploring new concepts as part of this initiative.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tWBD\u2019s unscripted portfolio includes factual and factual entertainment titles such as \u201cBody Bizarre,\u201d \u201cWheeler Dealers,\u201d \u201cMarooned with Ed Stafford\u201d and \u201cNaked and Afraid.\u201d Through WBITVP, the company has built global format franchises including \u201cThe Bachelor,\u201d \u201cFirst Dates,\u201d \u201cCash or Trash\u201d and \u201cWho Do You Think You Are?,\u201d which have been produced across dozens of countries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Warner Bros.
