Sidekick extraordinaire Andy Richter<\/a> seized the spotlight to slam President Donald Trump<\/a> for his attacks on talk show hosts.<\/p>\n

\u201cFuck that guy,\u201d he told Entertainment Weekly<\/a> this week.<\/p>\n

Richter, who wrote, announced and played wingman for Conan O\u2019Brien<\/a> on \u201cLate Night,\u201d \u201cThe Tonight Show\u201d and \u201cConan\u201d over the decades, said the two of them would have gone hard at the administration in the current climate.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe would be doing what everyone else of them is doing, which is all gas and no brakes,\u201d Richter told the show business site.<\/p>\n

Richter slammed the administration\u2019s inability to take a joke and advised Trump and Co. to simply ignore the cracks. Meanwhile, he couldn\u2019t help taking a cheap shot at the president.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat they have to take so seriously and use the wheels of government to crush joke-makers. It is just so indicative of, I wanna say, small dick,\u201d he snapped.<\/p>\n

The talk show scene has taken a gloomy turn since \u201cConan\u201d went dark for good in 2021. In July CBS announced it was canceling<\/a> \u201cThe Late Show\u201d and its Trump-taunting host Stephen Colbert. The show will end in May.<\/p>\n

Then came the industry earthquake of Jimmy Kimmel being pulled off the air by parent Disney in September under reported pressure by Trump\u2019s Federal Communications Commission \u2015 over a remark about MAGA and the alleged killer of Charlie Kirk.<\/p>\n

Kimmel returned several days later but had already ignited concerns over censorship.<\/p>\n

The tense atmosphere remains. Trump has intensified<\/a> his attacks on \u201cLate Night\u201d host Seth Meyers and continues to menace<\/a> Kimmel<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you\u2019re going after the joke-makers, you\u2019re probably wrong,\u201d Richter told EW. \u201cThat\u2019s just a general rule that I would … recommend for everyone to go on.\u201d<\/p>\n
