{"id":147417,"date":"2025-11-22T02:15:18","date_gmt":"2025-11-22T02:15:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/147417\/"},"modified":"2025-11-22T02:15:18","modified_gmt":"2025-11-22T02:15:18","slug":"jayden-brailey-canberra-raiders-nrl-season-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/147417\/","title":{"rendered":"Jayden Brailey, Canberra Raiders, NRL season 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New Raiders signing Jayden Brailey is aiming to help make the team \u201cone percent better\u201d as the side look to build on their 2025 campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Crowned the minor premiers with their strong performances through the regular season, the Raiders were unable to convert their ladder position into finals wins, going out in straight sets to close out their year.<\/p>\n<p>The home side went down in an instant finals classic to the Broncos in the opening week before their second week loss to the Sharks saw them slip out of the running.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n  &#13;<br \/>\n    &#13;<br \/>\n    <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Jayden Brailey training with the Raiders.\" class=\"inline-image__image o-shadowed-box\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/0a3a0194.jpg\"\/>&#13;<br \/>\n  &#13;<br \/>\n  &#13;<br \/>\n      Jayden Brailey training with the Raiders.&#13;<br \/>\n        \u00a9Canberra Raiders Media&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\n  &#13;<\/p>\n<p>For former Shark Brailey however \u2013 who made the move over to the Raiders from Newcastle this off-season \u2013 the opportunity to develop alongside the tea, including some of the best players in the world like captain Joseph Tapine, was appealing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChange is always good; I&#8217;ve been in two other clubs, and I feel like I can take the good parts out of both experiences and bring that here,\u201d the hooker said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;m really looking forward to buying into the Canberra culture, the Raiders culture, and just embracing the town and everything that this place has to offer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLooking from afar, obviously the middle pack, I&#8217;m really looking forward to working with those guys.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;ve been on the other side of it, throughout the last few years, and they&#8217;re not fun to come up against.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt&#8217;s going to be nice to be playing off the back of those big boys.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know Hosko [Zac Hosking] really well as well, so looking forward to meeting everyone.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLooking from afar, (Canberra\u2019s 2025 run to the finals) was so good to watch.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was just in awe of how well the team played and coming up against them, they were very powerful and very tough to stop.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;m looking forward to slotting there;
