\n\tAmy Redford, daughter of Robert Redford<\/a>, is speaking out about how AI<\/a> content related to her father has been \u201cextra challenging\u201d for her family following his death<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Instagram<\/a>, she began by thanking her followers for \u201cthe overwhelming love and support that has come by way of emails, texts, DM\u2019s, snail mail, and sometimes drop on my doorstep since my Dad\u2019s passing.\u201d However, Amy noted that she has come across AI-generated tributes from her family members, among other pieces of fake content.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThere have been multiple AI versions of funerals, tributes, and quotes from members of my family that are fabrications,\u201d she wrote. \u201cRenderings of my Dad who clearly has no say, and depictions of my family that do not represent anyone in a positive light are extra challenging during a difficult time. We are grieving together, and we are all in support of one another.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tAmy confirmed that her family has not held a \u201cpublic funeral\u201d for Robert yet, and they are \u201cworking out our plans for a memorial in the future.\u201d She added, \u201cEvery family should have the ability to mourn, represent the person they lost, and pay homage in the way that fits their values and family culture best.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAI isn\u2019t going anywhere. My hope is to keep AI in the land of transparent usage where it belongs. There are many elements of it that were created with good intent. I simply ask, what if this was you? Let that be your guidepost,\u201d she continued. \u201cLet human authenticity live, inspire and be the connective tissue we all crave.\u201d<\/p>\n
