A week after YouTube TV and Disney resolved<\/a> their carrier dispute, a different streaming service is blacking out some major channels.<\/p>\n NBCUniversal networks went dark on Fubo on Friday night, leaving customers without some major channels, including NBC, CNBC, MSNBC, Bravo, USA Network and NBC Sports regional networks. (See the full list here<\/a>.)<\/p>\n Fubo is one of the most popular cable replacements for cord-cutters, as it offers dozens of channels, including just about everything for sports fans. So, the timing is not great, with NBC airing college football games on Saturday<\/a> and the NFL on Sunday.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s a list of free or cheap alternatives if you have Fubo and are blacked out on one of those channels:<\/p>\n DirecTV: A streaming service popular with sports fans that offers a five-day free trial<\/a>. The first-month subscription cost is $49.99.<\/a><\/p>\n Sling TV: For $1, you can buy a \u201cDay Pass,\u201d<\/a> which will give you access to the streaming service for 24 hours. A monthly subscription costs $29.99<\/a>, but there is not a free trial.<\/p>\n Peacock: This is NBCU\u2019s streaming service, and although there is not a free trial, you can get an ad-supported Peacock subscription<\/a> for $7.99 per month or $79.99 for the whole year. Peacock also has a new Apple TV bundle<\/a> for $14.99 per month. (Apple TV on its own is $12.99.)<\/p>\n Fubo subscribers received an email on Friday detailing the reason for the blackout, which read in part:<\/p>\n \u201cFubo has been engaged in good faith negotiations with NBCU to renew our long-standing content agreement to distribute their networks to consumers. Unfortunately, we believe NBCU has offered terms regarding pricing and packaging that are egregiously above those offered to other distributors. As a result, NBCU networks are no longer available on the Fubo platform as of 5pm ET 11\/21\/25. If this impasse continues for an extended period of time Fubo will automatically apply a credit of $15 to your account.\u201d<\/p>\n
