(Photo by Win McNamee\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<p>Getty ImagesKey Facts<\/p>\n<p>Trump floated the timeline in an interview with Fox News Radio, telling the station, \u201cthey say, \u2018well, let\u2019s go another year.\u2019 And I said, \u2018let\u2019s see if we can get it done by Jan. 30.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trump was referring to a push from Democrats, that\u2019s also backed by some Republicans, to extend the subsidies for another year. <\/p>\n<p>Trump also said he wants to \u201cgive the money that we give to the insurance companies directly to the people, that the people buy their own health insurance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Some Republicans have expressed support for Trump\u2019s proposal, but <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Health\/trumps-idea-pay-americans-directly-health-care\/story?id=127410223\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"color-link\" title=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Health\/trumps-idea-pay-americans-directly-health-care\/story?id=127410223\" data-ga-track=\"ExternalLink:https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Health\/trumps-idea-pay-americans-directly-health-care\/story?id=127410223\" aria-label=\"experts have said\">experts have said<\/a> the idea presents major challenges and could force some Obamacare enrollees to pay more for health insurance than they do now. <\/p>\n<p>What To Watch For<\/p>\n<p>Senators are expected to vote in mid-December whether to extend the Obamacare subsidies. Democrats demanded Republicans hold the vote in exchange for agreeing to reopen the government.
