The red carpet crasher had hinted about his plans before the premiere.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cI feel like I\u2019m in a dream.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s my best friend Ariana Grande and I\u2019m going to meet her. I\u2019ve been dreaming about that.\u201d<\/p>\n
He was arrested but later took to Instagram to \u201cthank\u201d Grande.<\/p>\n
Sharing a video of the incident, he wrote: \u201c@arianagrande @wickedmovie Dear Ariana Grande Thank You for letting me Jump on the Yellow Carpet with You [heart emoji]\u201d<\/p>\n
After the incident, he wrote on his Instagram Stories: \u201cI\u2019m free after being arrested.\u201d<\/p>\n
Erivo was praised for her quick reactions to the gatecrasher, who she pushed away from Grande and recently explained she acted instinctively in order to protect her friend.<\/p>\n
Speaking on Today, the 38-year-old star said of the incident: \u201cI was really thinking, I just wanted to make sure my friend was safe.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m sure he didn\u2019t mean us harm, but I just, you never know with those things and I wanted to make sure that she was okay. That was my first instinct.\u201d<\/p>\n
Erivo previously touched on the incident when she reflected on the bond she and Grande share.<\/p>\n
Speaking at a special Screen Actors Guild screening held at the Television Academy in Los Angeles, she said: \u201cWhat\u2019s even more wonderful is the fact that there are other people who have seen themselves in this movie, in that character, and also now see themselves and feel safe.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat, for me, is the pinnacle of what I could ever wish for from any piece of work I have ever done. And I am so glad that in order to do it, I had to look into the eyes of this person beside me.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd we have come through some s***. We have come through some stuff in our lives, in our daily workings.<\/p>\n
\u201cI mean, f***, even this last week. Let\u2019s be honest, for f**\u2019s sakes, we\u2019ve had to really deal with some stuff, and this movie has allowed us to really grow as people, as friends, as sisters, as artists, as actresses.\u201d<\/p>\n
