WITH less than 10 enduro co-drives up for grabs among the 24 full-time entries on next year\u2019s Supercars grid, a straightforward solution has emerged to the next lot of dominoes to fall.<\/p>\n
Specifically, that two key seats remain unaccounted for, and two marquee options remain unsigned.<\/p>\n
To be more specific, the #55 Castrol Tickford Racing Mustang of Thomas Randle<\/a> and #8 R&J Batteries Brad Jones Racing Supra of Andr\u00e9 Heimgartner<\/a>, and the available talents that are Richie Stanaway<\/a> and Bryce Fullwood<\/a>.<\/p>\n Noting that Will Davison<\/a> is being hotly tipped to join Tim Slade<\/a> in Grove Racing\u2019s roster, Randle and Heimgartner are the highest-ranked drivers without an assigned co-driver.<\/p>\n James Moffat has now confirmed he won\u2019t return to the Randle ride<\/a>, while Heimgartner\u2019s incumbent Declan Fraser<\/a> is going back to full-time status via PremiAir.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, of the six 2025 full-timers stepping back, Nick Percat<\/a> (Triple Eight), James Courtney<\/a> (Team 18) and Jaxon Evans<\/a> (Walkinshaw Andretti United) have all signed and Davison is as above, leaving Stanaway and Fullwood as the last top free agents.<\/p>\n So, a case could be made that there are some matches made in heaven awaiting.<\/p>\n The Undercut \u2013 Grand Final Time!<\/p>\n Unpacking the Sandown 500 and looking forward to an epic Adelaide Grand Final!<\/p>\n But silly seasons don\u2019t always go as they would seem.<\/p>\n Stanaway of course has history with Tickford from his ill-fated 2018 season there. Team legend Mark Winterbottom<\/a> is thought to be a fan however, and Stanaway is renowned for his Mount Panorama prowess \u2013 including having won the Great Race a couple of years ago.<\/p>\n Fullwood also has runs on the board at the Mountain but given that he\u2019s coming off four full-time seasons at BJR, a case could be made that a fresh start is in order rather than accepting an internal demotion.<\/p>\n You could of course go the other way round, pairing Super2 champions Randle and Fullwood together, and likewise Kiwi compatriots Heimgartner and Stanaway.<\/p>\n
