Applications are now open for the I&P Acceleration WE4A \u2013 Women Entrepreneurship for Africa. I&P is implementing I&P Acceleration WE4A (Women Entrepreneurship for Africa), an acceleration program dedicated to financing and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises owned or co-owned and managed by women in the green and transition sectors.<\/p>\n
The I&P Acceleration WE4A program is\u00a0part of the pan-African initiative Investing in Young Businesses in Africa \u2013 Women Entrepreneurship for Africa (IYBA WE4A), co-financed by the European Union, the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS), and the German development cooperation implemented by GIZ.<\/p>\n
Led by Investisseurs & Partenaires (I&P), the program aims to strengthen the development and resilience of\u00a0high-potential women-led businesses, particularly in green and transition sectors.<\/p>\n
The I&P WE4A Acceleration Programme is organized into\u00a0three key tracks:<\/p>\n
Investment Preparation<\/p>\n
Business training (e-learning + webinars)<\/p>\n
Mentorship with investors and coaches<\/p>\n
Help with financial planning, modeling, and preparing for future capital<\/p>\n
Access to Debt<\/p>\n
Loans via a guarantee mechanism (especially in Uganda) \u2014 average loan size around\u00a0\u20ac22,000<\/p>\n
Technical assistance in credit applications, repayment planning and negotiation<\/p>\n
Access to Capital<\/p>\n
Repayable financing (interest-free) for high-potential businesses (in some countries)<\/p>\n
Support to scale sustainably and prepare for further investment<\/p>\n
Eligibility<\/p>\n
Women-led or co-led small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in\u00a0Uganda\u00a0and other target countries: Cameroon, Senegal, Togo)<\/p>\n
Businesses active in\u00a0green\/transition sectors\u00a0(renewable energy, recycling, waste, sustainable agriculture, etc.)<\/p>\n
Early-growth to growth-stage enterprises with strong potential to scale and formalize<\/p>\n
Amount of Support & Impact<\/p>\n
Total programme size: \u20ac3.5 million across the four target African countries.<\/p>\n
Portfolio target: ~140 women-led businesses by the end of the programme.<\/p>\n
Grant funding detail: Related WE4A grants plan includes funding of about USD 5,000 per entrepreneur.<\/p>\n

2025\u20132027: Implementation period for the I&P Acceleration WE4A programme.<\/p>\n
Uganda-specific debt track: Partners with\u00a0Finance Trust Bank\u00a0to provide pilot loans.<\/p>\n
Application Period: According to Opportunities for Youth, the Uganda track is accepting applications from November 14, 2025, to January 5, 2026.<\/p>\n
