However, Ed, 34, later revealed that he found out about the engagement through social media since he doesn\u2019t have a cell phone and Taylor couldn\u2019t call him to share the news.<\/p>\n<p>In a new interview, Ed shared an update on his friendship with Taylor.<\/p>\n<p>Keep reading to find out more\u2026\u201cMy way of viewing it is, like, me and Taylor are mates, and I will see her,\u201d Ed told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YxHUn4vRxiM\/\" onclick=\"getOutboundLink(&#039;https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YxHUn4vRxiM\/&#039;); return false;\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Access Hollywood<\/a>. \u201cI saw her a week after that happened \u2026 and you talk in person.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve actually got rid of the iPad as well, so I\u2019m not on anything anymore,\u201d Ed said of getting rid of both his cell phone and tablet. \u201cI kind of feel, like, being in touch with everyone, you lose actual human connection.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Weeks after getting engaged, Taylor finally meet up with Ed in-person.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I saw Taylor, we had a four-hour catch-up,\u201d he shared. \u201cIt\u2019s life stuff rather than, I don\u2019t know, you know what I mean? I\u2019m not self-conscious about my relationship with her.
