Prince William <\/a>paid a low-key visit to several young refugees from Gaza receiving medical care in England.<\/p>\n

\u201cRecently, His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales met a small number of children from Gaza who are currently receiving specialist care in the U.K.,\u201d a spokesperson for the Prince of Wales, 43, told Hello!<\/a> in a Saturday, November 29, statement. \u201cThe Prince wished to offer a moment of comfort to these young people who have endured experiences no child should ever face.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the rep, William was also \u201cable to offer his heartfelt gratitude\u201d to the country\u2019s National Health Service (NHS) for their healthcare practices.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Prince was also able to offer his heartfelt gratitude to the NHS teams providing exceptional care during such a profoundly difficult time,\u201d the statement continued. \u201cHis Royal Highness was moved by the courage shown by the children and their families and by the dedication of the team who are supporting them with such professionalism and humanity.\u201d<\/p>\n

The NHS began offering medical care to children impacted by Israel\u2019s ongoing conflict in Gaza in September as part of the U.K. government\u2019s humanitarian mission, per a BBC<\/a> report. Amid the current ceasefire, an estimated 4,000 children in Gaza are in need of immediate medical intervention, according to UNICEF<\/a>.<\/p>\n

William has long shown an interest in humanitarian causes<\/a> and volunteer endeavors, missions that he shared with late mother Princess Diana.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have taken some inspiration and guidance from what my mother did, particularly with homelessness,\u201d William said in his 2024 ITV documentary,<\/a>\u00a0referring to a then-recent campaign to end homelessness. \u201cI\u2019ve slowly tried to work out, \u2018What can I bring to the role and the platform that I have?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

The prince launched Homewards in 2023 to help fund, build and intervene on behalf of individuals in need of homes. Diana, who died in 1997 during a fatal car accident, was also a patron of several charities targeting homeless youth.<\/p>\n

William, for his part, is also passionate about the environment and even oversees the Earthshot Prize to help raise awareness for the cause.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tPer British tradition, Prince William has kept calm and carried on with his royal duties despite a \u201creally trying\u201d time for the royal family. \u201cI think it remains very positive that Prince William has really stepped up to the mark with the king being out of action for a few months,\u201d royal photographer Samir Hussein [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n

\u201cI think Prince William has been such an amazing person to work with, and there is such an incredible synergy between what he does and who he is and who we are,\u201d Robert Irwin exclusively told Us Weekly <\/a>in June of partnering with William on the Earthshot Prize. \u201cIt\u2019s all about conservation. I think it\u2019s wonderful that someone so influential \u2014 that has such a fantastic platform \u2014 is using that to really better our environment. He is a true environmental hero, and so working with him has been a great privilege.\u201d<\/p>\n

Irwin, 21, ultimately was not able to travel to Brazil for the 2025 awards ceremony early this month. The gala overlapped with his Dancing With the Stars commitments. William did send a video message instead.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re missing you, Robert,\u201d William said in a prerecorded video message earlier this month. \u201cWhilst your twinkle toes are going off elsewhere, I need you down here.\u201d<\/p>\n

William then jokingly told Irwin\u2019s DWTS partner, Witney Carson to get him into \u201cas much theater\u201d as she could.<\/p>\n

Steve Irwin\u2019s son subsequently revealed that it meant \u201cthe absolute world\u201d to have William\u2019s support in the ballroom.
