Verstappen, who trailed Norris by 104 points back in September, is now just 12 points off the McLaren driver.

Piastri, who had a successful weekend bagging eight points in the sprint race and 18 in the main race, sits 14 points behind.

With all three drivers still in contention, the title will be decided in Abu Dhabi next week. And it’s anyone’s game.

The 2025 Formula 1 season finale gets underway on Monday, December 8 (2am NZT).

The morning’s headlines in 90 seconds, including the aftermath of a deadly cyclone across Asia, pet bonds now an option for renters and the Black Foils fall at the final hurdle in their SailGP championship chase.
