The Cranberries<\/a> were all the rage in the \u201890s, and the legendary Irish rock band has recently experienced a resurgence in popularity.<\/p>\n

Noel Hogan,Mike Hogan, Fergal Lawler, and Dolores O\u2019Riordan became one of the hottest international bands around, with hits like \u201cOde to My Family,\u201d \u201cDreams,\u201d “Free to Decide,\u201d and \u201cWhen You\u2019re Gone,\u201d just to name a few.<\/p>\n

Today, The Cranberries are finding a newfound popularity, thanks to the release of theirMTV Unplugged concert as an album<\/a> on Nov. 7. In a social media share, the band addressed the resurgence in their music<\/a> and popularity.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been a moving week… We\u2019re overwhelmed that our 1994 MTV Unplugged session, released for the first time, has reached #8 on the Billboard Vinyl Chart. To then be honored with the Rolling Stone UK Icon Award truly shows how far our music has traveled from its beginnings,\u201d began a message, written across a picture in an Instagram post.<\/p>\n

The message went on to send a special message to the fans and honor O\u2019Riordan, who passed away in 2018.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cThe living legacy of our music was on full display as Noel was joined by Royel Otis to perform \u2018Linger\u2019 – a song that has recently resonated with so many new listeners. From our studio sessions in the 90s<\/a> to the way you now find and create anew with these songs, it\u2019s your connection that gives this music its lasting purpose. We have no doubt Dolores would be smiling down on it all. Thank you, Fergal, Noel, and Mike,\u201d read the end of the message.<\/p>\n

The caption of the Instagram post simply said, \u201cThank you \ud83d\udda4\ud83d\udda4\ud83d\udda4.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans flooded the comments section of the post to gush over the band and their resurgence in popularity.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you for the release!! The Unplugged vinyl is an absolute GEM in my collection and I\u2019m so happy I have a copy,\u201d declared one fan. Another fan stated, \u201cYou all were my coming of age and still deeply connected to the music you all created. Thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no question that The Cranberries<\/a> deserve all the new listeners and popularity coming their way, and fans mentioned that more than once.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Cranberries was my first and best concert! Little did I know I\u2019d end up living in Limerick then\ud83d\ude03! So well deserved , love to see this \ud83d\udc4f,\u201d insisted a fan. A different fan said, \u201cAll so well-deserved.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you for continuing The Cranberries Legacy \ud83d\udc9a\ud83d\udc9a\ud83d\udc9a\ud83d\udc9a,\u201d wrote a fan.<\/p>\n

\u201cDolores & The Cranberries forever \ud83d\udda4\ud83d\udda4\ud83d\udda4,\u201d declared a fan, while another gushed, \u201cLove cranberries, you deserve it all \u2764\ufe0f.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following O\u2019Riordan\u2019s death, The Cranberries released one more album in 2019 that featured her vocals before they broke up. Before that, The Cranberries took a brief hiatus from 2003 to 2009.<\/p>\n

In 2022, Noel Hogan started the band The Puro with Brazilian singer Mell Peck. Mike Hogan manages a guitar shop in London, while Fergal Lawler has been focusing on composing for films and documentaries.<\/p>\n
