Is there a more unconventional but perfect pairing than Pillion<\/a>\u2019s Alexander Skarsg\u00e5rd<\/a> and lesbian<\/a> icon Miriam Margolyes<\/a>? We don\u2019t think so.<\/p>\n The pair recently appeared on Friday\u2019s (28 November) The Graham Norton Show<\/a> together, where Skarsg\u00e5rd revealed he nearly moved in with Margolyes.<\/p>\n Actors Skarsg\u00e5rd and Margolyes, 49 and 84, respectively, were joined on the famous couch by All\u2019s Fair<\/a>\u2019s Glenn Close<\/a> and Bridgerton<\/a>\u2019s Nicola Coughlan<\/a>. Whilst there, Skarsg\u00e5rd revealed he has a history with Margolyes.<\/p>\n Norton prompted Skarsg\u00e5rd to explain that he knew Margolyes. \u201cNo you don\u2019t!\u201d Margolyes examined, in her classic, blunt but hilarious fashion.<\/p>\n \u201cI clearly made a strong impression on Miriam when we met,\u201d Skarsg\u00e5rd riffed. Margolyes looked visibly shocked.<\/p>\n \u201cI believe you own, or used to own, a condo in Santa Monica\u2026 were you looking to rent out a room, in that, at one point?\u201d Skarsg\u00e5rd asked.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I was coming back to England, yes. What were you doing there?\u201d Margolyes asked.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was an ad. I was looking for a room to rent,\u201d Skarsg\u00e5rd noted. Margolyes interrupted him: \u201cAnd why didn\u2019t you take it?\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWell\u2026 It\u2019s a gorgeous apartment, and I remember that you were very charming, and I think in hindsight I probably misread the cues. But I felt a strong sexual connection and felt it could potentially get messy if I rent a room in this apartment, if I\u2019m your tenant.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cDarling!\u201d Margolyes exclaimed. \u201cI\u2019m 84 and gay, and I\u2019ve been with my partner for 58 years.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAgain, I probably misread the situation. I do remember we had a lovely afternoon, which you obviously don\u2019t remember\u2026\u201d Skarsg\u00e5rd also stated, leaving Margolyes very confused.\u00a0<\/p>\n Norton then jokingly asked Coughlan if she\u2019d worked, or lived, with Margolyes. Coughlan hilariously responded: \u201cYes, Miriam I am your daughter.\u201d<\/p>\n Leaning over and addressing Coughlan, Skarsg\u00e5rd added: \u201cAnd I\u2019m your father.\u201d The whole room burst out into laughter as the three actors cuddled together.<\/p>\n I don\u2019t know about you, but Alexander Skarsg\u00e5rd, Miriam Margolyes and Nicola Coughlan are now my chosen family.\u00a0<\/p>\n Not one to hold back on anecdotes, while on Norton\u2019s show Margolyes also detailed a naked stunt that got her told off<\/a>. She explained the was running naked from a sauna into the snow at a health farm but got caught by the establishment\u2019s director: \u201cI was taken to his office and told never to do it again!\u201d<\/p>\n
