{"id":165907,"date":"2025-12-03T11:12:11","date_gmt":"2025-12-03T11:12:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/165907\/"},"modified":"2025-12-03T11:12:11","modified_gmt":"2025-12-03T11:12:11","slug":"kpop-demon-hunters-sweeps-youtube-year-end-charts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/165907\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;KPop Demon Hunters&#8217; sweeps YouTube year-end charts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/fd8d3f30-561e-4a92-acf5-cbdab33ecfc1.jpg\" style=\"display:block;height:auto;aspect-ratio:1200 \/ 797\" alt=\"A scene from Netflix\u2019s animation \u201cKPop Demon Hunters\u201d \/ Courtesy of Netflix\"   decoding=\"async\" loading=\"eager\" fetchpriority=\"high\" width=\"1200\" height=\"797\"\/><\/p>\n<p>A scene from Netflix\u2019s animation \u201cKPop Demon Hunters\u201d \/ Courtesy of Netflix<\/p>\n<p class=\"editor-p\">Netflix\u2019s smash-hit animation \u201cKPop Demon Hunters\u201d has dominated YouTube Korea\u2019s 2025 year-end charts, cementing its status as the phenomenon of the year as its soundtrack and related fan content have taken center stage on the platform since the movie\u2019s June release.<\/p>\n<p class=\"editor-p\">YouTube Korea on Wednesday announced four year-end lists for 2025: Trending Topics, Top Creators, Top Songs and Top Songs on Shorts, focusing on topics that either newly surfaced this year or recorded sharp spikes in user interest in the country.<\/p>\n<p class=\"editor-p\">For trending topics, three K-content titles \u2014 \u201cKPop Demon Hunters,\u201d \u201cWhen Life Gives You Tangerines\u201d and \u201cSquid Game\u201d \u2014 made the list. \u201cKPop Demon Hunters\u201d and \u201cSquid Game\u201d in particular also appeared on most countries\u2019 trending topic lists, reflecting the global influence of Korean entertainment on the platform.<\/p>\n<p class=\"editor-p\">Along with those three titles, the chart included K-pop newbies Allday Project and Hearts2Hearts, and games such as Roblox and Mabinogi. <\/p>\n<p class=\"editor-p\">The impact of \u201cKPop Demon Hunters\u201d is most visible in the music charts, with three of its soundtracks making it into the top 10 songs of 2025. \u201cGolden\u201d topped the chart, while \u201cSoda Pop\u201d and \u201cYour Idol\u201d landed in third and 10th, respectively. <\/p>\n<p class=\"editor-p\">Along with the soundtracks, newly discovered artists including Maktub and Zo Zazz, along with established K-pop stars such as G-Dragon, IVE and BLACKPINK, were also featured in the chart.<\/p>\n<p class=\"editor-p\">The Shorts chart confirms the franchise\u2019s reach among short-form creators.
