Academy Award-winning actress Halle Berry lashed out at California Gov. Gavin Newsom Wednesday, arguing that he overlooks women and shouldn\u2019t \u201cbe our next president.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAt this stage in my life, I have zero f\u2013ks left to give,\u201d Berry said in remarks at the Dealbook Summit before taking aim at the Democratic governor, according to the Hollywood Reporter.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cBack in my great state of California, my very own governor, Gavin Newsom, has vetoed our menopause bill, not one, but two years in a row,\u201d the \u201cCatwoman\u201d star continued. \u201cBut that\u2019s OK, because he\u2019s not going to be governor forever, and the way he has overlooked women, half the population, by devaluing us, he probably should not be our next president either. Just saying.\u201d<\/p>\n

The jab at Newsom, who spoke at the same summit after Berry, reportedly drew gasps from the crowd at the Lincoln Center in New York City.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The California governor\u2019s term ends at the end of 2026, and he confirmed in October that he is\u00a0eyeing a 2028 White House run<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Polls regularly peg Newsom as one of the top contenders in a Democratic presidential primary, along with former Vice President Kamala Harris and ex-Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.<\/p>\n

Berry\u2019s criticism of the slick-haired pol stemmed from his October veto of legislation \u2013 for the second time \u2013 aimed at\u00a0improving and expanding menopause care.<\/p>\n

The bill Newsom rejected sought to mandate that healthcare plans provide recommendations for menopause-related treatments, and require healthcare providers to receive training related to menopause care.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Berry, 59, is the founder of Respin, a women\u2019s health and longevity company focused on menopause care.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIn 2025, there is a lot to still be talked about and discovered and uncovered, especially if you are a woman who is navigating midlife and thoughtfully considering your longevity, because in 2025 I, Halle Berry, and women of my age are simply devalued in this country,\u201d the actress said. \u201cOur culture thinks that, at 59 years old, I am past my prime, and that women my age start to become invisible in Hollywood, in the workplace, on social media.<\/p>\n

\u201cWomen are pressured to stay forever 35.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Izzy Gardon, a spokesperson for Newsom, told The Post that the governor vetoed the menopause care bill because it would have raised healthcare costs.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Governor has deep admiration for Ms. Berry\u2019s advocacy and looks forward to working with her and other stakeholders on this critical issue,\u201d Gardon said. \u201cHe shares her goal of expanding access to menopause care that too many women struggle to get.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHe vetoed the bill because, as written, it would have unintentionally raised health care costs for millions of working women already stretched thin \u2014 something he\u2019s determined to avoid.\u201d<\/p>\n
