Photo \/ NZME <\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment has started an investigation into what it said were \u201cmatters that have been raised\u201d about Financial Markets Authority chairman Craig Stobo.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\n         \u201cMr Stobo has agreed to temporarily step aside as Financial Markets Authority (FMA) chair while the investigation is undertaken,\u201d the ministry said<br \/>\n         in a short statement.\n        <\/p>\n<p class=\"ehSvJlTQHTuOTYQ\" style=\"display:none\">He will also step aside from his other Crown governance and advisory responsibilities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ehSvJlTQHTuOTYQ\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cThe Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) will be leading an independent investigation into these matters as the monitoring department for the FMA,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ehSvJlTQHTuOTYQ\" style=\"display:none\">MBIE said it could not comment further until the investigation is complete.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Financial Markets Authority chairman Craig Stobo.
