If she could turn back time, Kyle Richards<\/a>\u00a0would change one thing about her early years on the \u201cReal Housewives of Beverly Hills.\u201d<\/a> \u00a0<\/p>\n

The mom of four is the longest-running Housewife in the franchise\u2019s history, with 15 seasons under her belt since the series debut in 2010. Richards has also publicly weathered her separation<\/a>\u00a0from her husband, Mauricio Umansky<\/a>.<\/p>\n

During a Dec. 4 appearance on \u201cWatch What Happens Live,\u201d<\/a> Richards was asked what advice she would give her Season 1 self on love and marriage. After first noting that she would warn herself to \u201cnot get so busy that you forget about your foundation,\u201d she got to her biggest regret.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust to tune out the outside noise. Because we dealt with a lot of that for so many years and things that weren\u2019t true affected me so much,\u201d she said. \u201cBecause it would make me act a certain way towards him. And even if it was things that I knew weren\u2019t actually true, you know, there were, like, a time, they saw him in Dallas with some girl, he wasn\u2019t even in Dallas. So, and I knew that, but I would be upset and then treat him differently and then he would say, \u2018It\u2019s not true. Why are you doing that to me?\u2019 So, I wish I could tell the first season, Kyle, to tune out all the noise.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kyle Richards\u00a0Said RHOBH Had Nothing to Do With Her Separation<\/p>\n

While there has been plenty of noise about her marriage over the past 15 years, Richards previously told Bravo\u2019s \u201cHot Mic\u201d podcast<\/a> that the reality show was not to blame for her marital troubles.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery situation, every marriage is different,\u201d she said on the podcast. \u201cFor us, it had nothing to do with the show. We did the show together for many years, and we were fine through it \u2026 I was very happily married. The show did not affect us in that way at all.\u201d<\/p>\n

But she admitted that \u201cthe money and the attention that comes with fame\u201d did change the dynamic in her marriage.<\/p>\n

Richards went into detail about her split during the RHOBH Season 14 reunion. She noted that \u201cmoney, traveling, fame\u201d and her husband\u2019s real estate business contributed to the split.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe attention he was getting with all that,\u201d she added, per BravoTV.com<\/a>. \u201cWomen are snakes. You know, they see a man who\u2019s a good husband and a good father and he has money. And they\u2019re like, \u2018Oh, I want that.\u2019 Throwing themselves at him. And we got married very young. And he never got to go out and do his thing. And I think that really contributed to the downfall of our marriage.\u201d<\/p>\n

Umansky addressed the trade-offs that were made while building his business in an interview with RealEstate.com.au<\/a>. \u201cI used reality television to build The Agency,\u201d he said. \u201cThe sacrifice of being on reality television is great. If you asked me today if I would do that again, I don\u2019t know. It\u2019s an amazing marketing tool, but the sacrifice is your life becomes so public.\u201d<\/p>\n
