{"id":171685,"date":"2025-12-07T07:30:14","date_gmt":"2025-12-07T07:30:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/171685\/"},"modified":"2025-12-07T07:30:14","modified_gmt":"2025-12-07T07:30:14","slug":"kim-kardashian-reveals-she-changed-her-name-right-before-fame-kim-kardashian-celebrity-news-and-gossip-entertainment-photos-and-videos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/171685\/","title":{"rendered":"Kim Kardashian Reveals She Changed Her Name Right Before Fame | Kim Kardashian | Celebrity News and Gossip | Entertainment, Photos and Videos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/tags\/kim-kardashian\/\" title=\"Kim Kardashian\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kim Kardashian<\/a> is taking a trip down memory lane!<\/p>\n<p>The 45-year-old reality star recently spoke with <a href=\"https:\/\/time.com\/7338510\/kim-kardashian-masterclass-kimmandments-interview\/\" onclick=\"getOutboundLink(&#039;https:\/\/time.com\/7338510\/kim-kardashian-masterclass-kimmandments-interview\/&#039;); return false;\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Time Magazine<\/a> about her new MasterClass: The New Rules of Business: The Ten Kimmandments with Kim Kardashian, and revealed that right before she first became famous, she decided to change her name.<\/p>\n<p>Keep reading to find out more\u2026Kim explained that before she started filming Keep Up with the Kardashians, which premiered on E! in 2007, she only went by her full name, Kimberly.<\/p>\n<p>She said that she was rarely referred to as \u201cKim,\u201d which the whole world has come to call her.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI used to always go by Kimberly, until we signed on to do the reality show,\u201d Kim explained. \u201cAnd when I looked at my chyron, Kimberly Kardashian, I said, \u2018I think that\u2019s so long for people to say.\u2019 And like, \u2018Let\u2019s just shorten it to Kim.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She continued, \u201cAnd it\u2019s so weird, because all my friends from high school and growing up, and my dad, everyone calls me Kimberly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Also in the interview, Kim said that since she was a child, she wanted to star on a reality show.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI really wanted to do a reality show since the day MTV\u2019s The Real World came out,\u201d Kim recalled. \u201cI watched it with my best friend. I looked at her and I told her, \u2018That\u2019s what I\u2019m going to do.\u2019\u201d And she said, \u2018I\u2019ll be your manager.\u2019 I think we were 11.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI said, \u2018When we\u2019re 18, we have to make a tape and send it into The Real World,\u2019\u201d she continued. \u201cHer dad\u2019s in the music-business management world.
