The staff for\u00a0the\u00a0second<\/a>\u00a0anime<\/a> season of Tsuyoshi Yasuda<\/a>‘s\u00a0Blue Miburo<\/a> (Ao no Miburo) manga started streaming the anime’s second full promotional video on Monday. The video announces and previews the opening theme song “Blue Noise” by Ry\u014dsuke Yamada<\/a> and the ending theme song “H\u014dmatsu” (Ephemeral) by Soushi Sakiyama<\/a>. The staff also announced six more cast members.<\/p>\n

Newly\u00a0announced<\/a>\u00a0cast for the second season includes\u00a0Taku Yashiro<\/a>\u00a0as Yamazaki Susumu.<\/p>\n

Kumiko Habara<\/a>\u00a0(I’m Standing on 1,000,000 Lives.<\/a>;\u00a0I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss<\/a>;\u00a0Surgeon Elise<\/a>) is returning to direct the new season at\u00a0Maho Film<\/a>. Kenta Ihara<\/a> (Gamera -Rebirth-<\/a>;\u00a0I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss;\u00a0Uncle From Another World<\/a>) is also back in charge of the series scripts.\u00a0Y\u016bko \u014cba<\/a> (I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss;\u00a0I’m Standing on 1,000,000 Lives.) and\u00a0Miyako Nishida<\/a> (My Unique Skill Makes Me OP even at Level 1<\/a>;\u00a0If It\u2019s for My Daughter, I\u2019d Even Defeat a Demon Lord<\/a>) once again designs the characters.\u00a0Toshiki Kameyama<\/a> also returns as the sound director, and Y\u016bki Hayashi<\/a> is again composing the music.<\/p>\n

The first season\u00a0premiered<\/a>\u00a0in October 2024. The series\u00a0ran<\/a>\u00a0for two consecutive\u00a0cours<\/a>\u00a0(quarters of the year).\u00a0Crunchyroll<\/a> streamed<\/a>\u00a0the first season as it aired. <\/p>\n

Kodansha USA Publishing<\/a> licensed<\/a>\u00a0the manga in English under the title\u00a0The Blue Wolves of Mibu<\/a>, and it describes the story:<\/p>\n

Nio is an orphan who can’t help dreaming of a better world. In this action-packed manga, he meets two men who show him how much a few swords can change history.<\/p>\n

This riveting samurai series from the acclaimed creator of Days shares its setting with\u00a0Rurouni Kenshin<\/a>\u00a0and chronicles the founding of the Shinsengumi by handsome and volatile men fighting for justice…and for themselves!<\/p>\n

Yasuda\u00a0launched<\/a>\u00a0the manga in\u00a0Kodansha<\/a>‘s Weekly Sh\u014dnen Magazine<\/a> in October 2021. Kodansha\u00a0published the 14th compiled book volume in July 2024. The manga’s “Shinsengumi Arc”\u00a0started<\/a>\u00a0in April 2024. The eighth volume of this new part of the manga will ship on December 17.<\/p>\n

Yasuda’s\u00a0DAYS\u00a0soccer manga also\u00a0inspired<\/a>\u00a0a television anime in 2016 and five original video anime\u00a0episodes<\/a>\u00a0from 2017 to 2018. Yasuda’s\u00a0Over Drive\u00a0bicycling manga inspired a TV anime in 2007.<\/p>\n
