Mumbai: Bajaj Finserv<\/a>, which houses the group’s insurance entities, would enter the fast-expanding pensions and wealth management<\/a> businesses next year, Chairman Sanjiv Bajaj told investors Friday. A public listing of the insurance arms is also likely over the next 4-5 years, he said.<\/p>\n

India’s pension<\/a> market, which is projected to cross ‘118 lakh crore in size by 2030, has 10 players and recently saw two large banks apply for licenses to the sectoral regulator Pension Fund Regulatory and Development authority (PFRDA).<\/p>\n

Also, the wealth-management industry is burgeoning as India adds more dollar-millionaires than any other country, expanding the segment at a pace the financial conglomerate sees as too large to ignore, said an analyst who attended the investor meet<\/a>.
The move comes as the Pune-based firm lays out its five-year expansion plan. Bajaj Finserv is looking to triple revenue to ‘3.4 lakh crore by FY30 from ‘1.3 lakh crore in FY25, betting on newer tech-led businesses.<\/p>\n

Net profit is expected to jump to nearly ‘24,000 crore from ‘9,000 crore over the same period as the financial services conglomerate leans on areas beyond its traditional lending and insurance engines to a mix of health-tech, digital marketplaces, asset management and alternatives businesses.<\/p>\n

One of the biggest bets is Bajaj Finserv Health, which the group expects to become a meaningful profit contributor before the end of the decade. “In the next 10 years, healthcare and health services will be a big driver of India’s progress… We’ve built the entire tech capability and an extensive network of 100,000 doctors and 15,000 hospitals ground up,” Bajaj said. “With 1.7 million monthly health claims and partnerships with 10 insurers, the business is in sight of profitability by FY28.”
The company is scouting strategic partnerships and may deepen its presence in the Middle East and other regions, he said.On the investing side, Bajaj AMC that currently is at ‘31,000 crore of assets under management (AUM), is positioning to break even at ‘1.2 lakh crore and climb into India’s top 15 managers. <\/p>\n

“This will be achieved through a differentiated business model… behavioural finance, megatrends-based product strategy and moat investing,” Bajaj said.<\/p>\n

He also told investors that changing regulations, full ownership after the Allianz buyout, and improving profitability are creating the right conditions for a future float. Bajaj said upcoming regulatory shifts will significantly reshape the industry’s operating architecture.<\/p>\n
