Subaru of New Zealand is back doing the thing that it’s done so well in the past: importing small runs of niche models and creating a bit of buzz with a couple of specific flourishes.<\/p>\n
The $62,990 BRZ tS Kiiro is arriving in a limited run of 10 this month. It’s manual-only, and an STI-tuned (that’s what the “tS” bit means) version of the coupe with 18-inch STI wheels, a strut brace, STI gearlever\/start button, drilled disc rotors and mesh grille.<\/p>\n

Pretty much standard production-model stuff and pretty much the same specification as the other 10 examples imported earlier this year, expect they were WR Blue. This one’s yellow: the “Kiira” name is derived from the Japanese kanji script for the colour.<\/p>\n And those limited-run flourishes? It wears a special Kiiro exterior badge and each car comes with a numbered presentation key box (1-10) and an engraved key ring, similar to the BRZ tS Tsubasa special edition and the WRX special editions AKA<\/a>, Tatsu<\/a> and Todoroki<\/a>.
