{"id":177085,"date":"2025-12-10T11:04:07","date_gmt":"2025-12-10T11:04:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/177085\/"},"modified":"2025-12-10T11:04:07","modified_gmt":"2025-12-10T11:04:07","slug":"apg-to-cut-up-to-1200-jobs-as-new-pension-system-looms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/177085\/","title":{"rendered":"APG to cut up to 1,200 jobs as new pension system looms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>  December 10, 2025  <img width=\"920\" height=\"707\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/pensioners-bike-retirement.jpg\" class=\"attachment-full size-full wp-post-image\" alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\"  \/> Photo: DutchNews.nl<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"79\" data-end=\"416\">APG, the Netherlands\u2019 largest pension administrator, will cut between 1,000 and 1,200 jobs in the coming years to lower costs, streamline operations and strengthen its competitive position ahead of a major overhaul of the Dutch pension system.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"418\" data-end=\"688\">Chief executive Annette Mosman <a href=\"https:\/\/apg.nl\/en\/publication\/apg-chooses-speed-efficiency-and-agility-with-strategy-2030\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">said in a statement<\/a> on Wednesday that APG must become \u201cfaster and more efficient\u201d to remain competitive. Automation, AI and standardisation are expected to play a major role in reaching the company\u2019s goals.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"981\" data-end=\"1424\">APG currently administers eight funds, including majority shareholder civil service pension fund ABP which is one of the biggest funds in the world. \u201cIn the coming years, the transition to the renewed pension system will be the main focus; after that, APG will open its pension services to new clients,\u201d the company said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1899\" data-end=\"2130\">The restructuring will affect all parts of the organisation, including pension administration, asset management and support services.
