Most parents-to-be will tell you that navigating pregnancy for the first time is challenging, and that\u2019s without sonic booms coming from Elon Musk\u2019s<\/a> spaceships. Donald Trump\u2019s former little-bitch-in-chief has apparently been launching a bunch of SpaceX rockets out of the Vandenberg Space Force Base in Santa Barbara County, near where soon-to-be first-time dad Charlie Puth<\/a> and his pregnant wife, Brooke, live. In the early hours of Wednesday morning, the singer posted a complaint to X, the social platform very loosely governed by Musk and people who earnestly use Grok.<\/p>\n Hi @elonmusk<\/a> \u2026these sonic booms have gotten progressively louder since they started launching the rockets in Santa Barbara. This one at 3am today felt like 150-160 dB, violently shook our whole house, and really frightened my pregnant wife. I hope they do not get louder :\/\u201d<\/p>\n Anytime a straight man invokes the well-being of his pregnant wife, you know he means business. It certainly helps that the Puth family isn\u2019t alone in their desperation: Residents near SpaceX launch sites in California and Florida have been complaining about the sound pollution for years. In April, Floridian residents told<\/a> local news station KXXV that the noise from the launches were \u201cthe worst it\u2019s ever been.\u201d Per the SpaceX website<\/a>, Musk & Co. have launched 160 Falcon 9 rockets in the U.S. this year alone \u2014 two dozen more than were completed in 2024. And if you\u2019re wondering what \u201c150\u2013160 db\u201d sounds like, Brigham Young University physicist Kent Gee told<\/a> CNN last year it\u2019s like \u201cbeing a few feet away from a gunshot without hearing protection.\u201d<\/p>\n Musk hasn\u2019t yet responded to Puth\u2019s plea, but we must protect his baby\u2019s ears at all cost. There\u2019s simply too much potential for musical genius at play. Maybe this is something Puth\u2019s two biggest fans, Taylor Swift<\/a> and Matty Healy<\/a>, could take up with Musk?
