Samsung announced the launch<\/a> of the Galaxy Z TriFold in South Korea a few days ago. The company’s tri-folding phone became available for purchase in the country today and was sold out in minutes. This is surprising, as the phone is extremely costly and is a first-generation product in its category.\n<\/p>\n

The Galaxy Z TriFold is priced at KRW 3.59 million<\/a> (around $2,436) in South Korea for the 512GB version. Earlier today, it went on sale in the country through 20 of Samsung’s major retail stores. This drew long queues<\/a> of dozens of people outside each store, and the phone sold out within minutes at all the available locations.<\/p>\n

The company hasn’t revealed when the device will be back in stock, but it thanked buyers for their support on its website<\/a> and is now taking sign-ups for restock notifications. It will go on sale in some more countries<\/a>, including the USA, in the coming weeks.\n<\/p>\n

While there is no Samsung Care+ plan available for the Galaxy Z TriFold as of now, Samsung is offering a 50% discount on its screen replacement.\n<\/p>\n

The Galaxy Z TriFold features a 6.5-inch 120Hz OLED cover display, a 10-inch 120Hz OLED foldable display<\/a>, two 10MP selfie cameras (cover screen and foldable screen), a 200MP primary camera with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide camera with autofocus, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS.\n<\/p>\n

The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, 16GB RAM, and 512GB\/1TB storage. It runs Android 16-based One UI 8.0 software and has several Galaxy AI features. Samsung will offer seven major Android OS updates<\/a> to the device. It has 5G, a nano SIM card slot, eSIM, GPS, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, UWB, NFC, and a USB 3.2 Type-C port.\n<\/p>\n
