Sir David Jason has confirmed a final return for iconic British sitcom Open All Hours to celebrate its 50th anniversary.<\/p>\n

U&Gold has announced<\/a> a 90-minute special titled Open All Hours: Inside Out, which goes behind-the-scenes and looks back at the success of the 1976 to 1985 series, and the 2014 to 2019 sequel show Still Open All Hours.<\/p>\n

The anniversary special will also feature a brand new scene featuring Sir David as Granville, and written by original writer and creator Roy Clarke. The scene will see Granville shut his Doncaster grocer’s shop for the night and reflect on how life has changed over the years.<\/p>\n

“It’s so good to be back! I played Granville for over half my life and so this show holds a very special place in my heart,” Sir David said.<\/p>\n
