It’s also the first model to feature the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip globally. Previous teasers from the brand revealed that the phone will arrive in Charcoal Black and Mint Green shades. But apparently, there’s one more. The company is now teasing the OnePlus 15R Ace Edition, which gets the Electric Purple color, similar to its China sibling, the OnePlus Ace 6T.

OnePlus 15R Ace Edition in violet color teased

OnePlus 15R Ace Edition, with purple color, means customers are getting a three-color choice to pick from. The company reportedly says the OnePlus 15R Ace Edition is “perfect for those who wish to declare themselves the ultimate Ace gamer.” This edition features a fiberglass back cover with a coating that engraves the word “Ace.”

Whether this version will launch in the US is still not clear, but considering it’s not a China-exclusive version anymore, we’re hoping it might. Besides the color, the rest of the phone’s hardware inside is the same.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and 7,400mAh battery

The headlining feature of the OnePlus 15R is its massive 7,400mAh battery. This is marginally bigger than the 7,300mAh battery on the OnePlus 15. Besides the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, the phone will get a Touch Response Chip and a Wi-Fi chip to boost their respective departments. With so much power, you’ll also get always-on 120fps gaming.

OnePlus also touts that the display offers a 165Hz refresh rate. You get IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for water and dust resistance. OnePlus 15R will boot OxygenOS 16 with Plus Mind and other AI features. Rest, we can expect 100W fast charging, a 6.83-inch AMOLED display, and 16GB RAM. The teaser images hint that the rear will accommodate dual camera sensors.

The OnePlus 15R is launching on December 17th, as a successor to the OnePlus 13R.
