{"id":181842,"date":"2025-12-13T12:46:06","date_gmt":"2025-12-13T12:46:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/181842\/"},"modified":"2025-12-13T12:46:06","modified_gmt":"2025-12-13T12:46:06","slug":"govt-backs-1635-women-led-startups-across-the-country-invests-%e2%82%b93156-cr-through-startup-india-schemes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/181842\/","title":{"rendered":"Govt backs 1,635 women-led startups across the country, invests \u20b93,156 Cr through Startup India Schemes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">The Government of India\u2019s flagship Startup India initiatives have extended substantial financial support to women-led startups across the country through three major schemes, Minister of State for Commerce &amp; Industry Jitin Prasada informed the Rajya Sabha in a written reply on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>All you need to know about Govt&#8217;s\u00a0flagship Startup India initiative<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Under the Fund of Funds for Startups (FFS), operationalised by the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), SEBI-registered Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) have invested approximately \u20b92,838.9 crore in 154 women-led startups between 2020 and 2025, as of 31 October 2025.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The scheme is designed to catalyse <a href=\"https:\/\/startuppedia.in\/trending\/trending\/we-should-not-be-overly-dependent-on-foreign-venture-capital-piyush-goyal-says-funds-like-pension-insurance-can-invest-in-startups-10614903\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">venture capital<\/a> investments by providing capital to AIFs, which in turn invest in eligible startups.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS), launched on 1 April 2021, focuses on early-stage support through incubators.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">As of 31 October 2025, incubators have approved \u20b9284.79 crore in funding to 1,635 women-led startups, enabling them to move from idea validation to product development and market entry.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Meanwhile, the Credit Guarantee Scheme for Startups (CGSS), which became operational on 1 April 2023 and is managed by the National Credit Guarantee Trustee Company (NCGTC), has facilitated access to collateral-free credit.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">By the end of October 2025, 24 loans worth \u20b933.17 crore had been guaranteed for <a href=\"https:\/\/startuppedia.in\/trending\/trending\/up-govt-allows-women-to-work-night-shifts-between-7-pm-and-6-am-with-written-consent-offers-double-pay-cctv-safety-and-secure-transport-10654702\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">women<\/a>-led startup borrowers through eligible financial institutions.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Minister noted that detailed sector-wise and state-wise data for all three schemes have been submitted to <a href=\"https:\/\/startuppedia.in\/trending\/parliament-passes-bill-to-impose-cess-on-pan-masala-manufacturing-units-10894848\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Parliament<\/a>.
