\n\tThe Florence + the Machine leader appears in Taylor Swift\u2019s new Disney+ docuseries Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour \u2013 The End of an Era<\/a>, where she recounts her surprise duet performance of \u201cFlorida!!!\u201d during Swift\u2019s final night at London\u2019s Wembley Stadium in August 2024. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe moment marked a rare onstage link-up between the two artists \u2014 and, as Welch admits, came with a heavy dose of pressure.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI have performed on big stages, but I thought I\u2019d just run around because that\u2019s what I do at my own shows,\u201d Welch recalls in the doc. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWhen I got there, they were like, \u2018This is your choreography.\u2019 I was like, \u2018No, no, no, wait, you must be confused. I don\u2019t do this! I\u2019m gonna f\u2014 this up!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tOf course, she didn\u2019t \u2014 Welch nailed her cues, hit the emotional high note, and helped close out one of Swift\u2019s five Wembley nights without a hitch. But even a seasoned performer can get a little starstruck when faced with the sheer scale of Swift\u2019s universe.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe feeling of coming up for the first time in that lift, it was kind of like landing on Mars, \u2018cause I\u2019d never seen the stage lit up before,\u201d Welch continues. \u201cIt\u2019s like, you see this cultural moment from the outside, and I suddenly was inside of it. It was wild, but it was really fun and completely terrifying.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWelch also admitted that seeing Swift as the pop deity at the center of a global phenomenon \u2014 rather than as her \u201ccozy\u201d friend \u2014 briefly scrambled her brain. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cTaylor is my friend, and I know her as this very cozy person, and I came out of that lift and I was like, \u2018Oh my God, it\u2019s f\u2014ing Taylor Swift!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe docuseries, which dropped its first two episodes this week on Disney+, pulls the curtain back on the tour\u2019s unseen moments \u2014 from backstage rehearsal hangouts with Ed Sheeran to personal calls with Travis Kelce that Swift likens to a \u201cvitamin drip.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI want to overserve the fans,\u201d Swift says in the series. \u201cThat was my main goal.\u201d<\/p>\n
