{"id":182809,"date":"2025-12-14T03:36:07","date_gmt":"2025-12-14T03:36:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/182809\/"},"modified":"2025-12-14T03:36:07","modified_gmt":"2025-12-14T03:36:07","slug":"nasal-spray-recalled-nationwide-for-potential-life-threatening-infections","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/182809\/","title":{"rendered":"Nasal spray recalled nationwide for potential life-threatening infections"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>(WKRC) &#8211; A nationwide recall has been issued for ReBoost Nasal Spray because of potential life-threatening infections tied to mold contamination, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/safety\/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts\/medinatura-new-mexico-inc-issues-voluntary-nationwide-recall-reboost-nasal-spray-due-microbial\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The homeopathic product, distributed by MediNatura New Mexico Inc., was found to contain yeast and mold, along with microbial contamination \u2014 including the bacteria Achromobacter \u2014 at levels above acceptable limits. The FDA said \u201cthere is a reasonable probability that adverse health consequences, including life-threatening infections, will occur with use of the product in the immunocompromised population.<\/p>\n<p>Consumers are urged to immediately stop using the product and contact a healthcare provider if they experience any related symptoms. No adverse events had been reported as of Dec. 10.<\/p>\n<p>ReBoost is marketed to relieve nasal congestion and comes in a white and yellow carton containing a 20 mL spray bottle. The recalled lot is No. 224268, with an expiration date of December 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Customers who purchased the product directly from MediNatura may request a refund by emailing <a href=\"https:\/\/local12.com\/news\/nation-world\/mailto:recall@medinatura.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">recall@medinatura.com<\/a>.
