A self-made millionaire has urged people who want to be financially successful to focus on one thing – a cheque. Mark Tilbury took to social media to share his message with followers, brandishing a cheque of considerable value<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In a TikTok video, Mark, aka @marktilbury<\/a>, started by strolling through an airport. He declared: “This is a cheque <\/a>for $100 million and it’s got your name on it. I\u2019m going to take it to the other side of the world<\/a>. But if you don\u2019t reach it within 48 hours, I\u2019m ripping up.”<\/p>\n

Posing the question to viewers, “would you come and get it?” the CEO, who boasts a 7-figure income according to his LinkedIn<\/a>, stated: “Of course you would. Even if you have absolutely no money, you’d borrow money, make money, negotiate and everything in between, just to achieve your goal of getting this cheque<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

Wrapping up his advice, he stressed that to get this type of figure in your bank accounts, one thing is needed. “If you want to get rich, it\u2019s simple. Just believe there\u2019s a guaranteed cheque waiting for you. All you have to do is put in the work to collect it.”<\/p>\n

Not all followers were convinced but some joked that they had arrived where he was and wanted their cheque. Another said the advice was really useful – adding: “Now this is great advice. Honestly, I love this guy.”<\/p>\n

In another video, the millionaire also advised against giving gift cards this year. In a warning on his TikTok<\/a>, he said: “Gift cards are basically a scam that everybody falls for.<\/p>\n

“Americans have about $15 billion worth of unused gift cards, which means half the people who get a gift card forget to use them, and even if they do, most people never spend full balance or end up throwing in the trash.”<\/p>\n

He explained that when his happens, brands call it “breakage”, stressing that this is “exactly what they want because they can profit from the service they never provide.”<\/p>\n

In his concluding advice, he said: “So remember to use that gift card you have lying around. And always give cash because it\u2019s the ‘gift card’ that you can spend anywhere.”<\/p>\n

In the comments, one said: “How do people forgot about free money” with another adding: “My parents refuse gift cards purely bc it\u2019s not money, it\u2019s just numbers and if the company goes bankrupt u have nothing.”<\/p>\n
