Winfrey\u2019s December 14 show was originally meant to be held at Spark Arena on Auckland\u2019s waterfront. However, it was relocated to the smaller Civic Theatre last month.<\/p>\n

Winfrey last performed in New Zealand in 2015, to a sell-out audience at Spark Arena (then named Vector Arena).<\/p>\n

In 2015, Winfrey was spotted walking up Mt Eden<\/a>, dining at One Tree Grill, and made a private visit to \u014cr\u0101kei Marae<\/a>, which she told the Herald at the time was \u201ca truly spiritual experience\u201d.<\/p>\n

Dressed in a k\u0101kahu, she was greeted by a p\u014dwhiri and toured the marae.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be in the presence of people who … have not just regard, but reverence for who they are, where they\u2019ve come from, who their people are, respect for their ancestors … I think, if everyone in the world did that it would be a different world,\u201d Winfrey said after her visit.<\/p>\n

When she returned in 2017 for the Wrinkle in Time shoot, Winfrey posted photos of Central Otago<\/a> to her millions of Instagram followers, with a hashtag \u201cI love New Zealand\u201d.<\/p>\n
