A New Mexico company has expanded its recall of homeopathic nasal sprays that contain yeast\/mold and microbial contamination.<\/p>\n

MediNatura New Mexico<\/a>, Inc., last week recalled one lot of ReBoost Nasal Spray. Today it announced a recall of all lots of that spray plus all lots of ClearLife nasal spray.<\/p>\n

Both were sold nationwide online and through retailers, according to an announcement with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s announcement says the sprays have microbial contamination, specifically Achromobacter bacteria at unsafe levels.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is a reasonable probability that adverse health consequences including life-threatening infections will occur with use of the product in the immunocompromised population,\u201d the company said.<\/p>\n

Immunocompromised people are more vulnerable to infections. That includes people with weakened immune systems, the elderly and people on certain medications.<\/p>\n

MediNatura said it has not received any reports of adverse events related to this recall to date.<\/p>\n

Both homeopathic nasal sprays are used to temporarily relieve nasal congestion, allergy symptoms, sneezing, runny nose and itching.<\/p>\n

The NDC number for the recalled ReBoost nasal spray is 62795-4005-9 and the UPC is 787647 10186 3. People should immediately stop using the nasal sprays. Customers who purchased directly from MediNatura New Mexico can send an email to recall@medinatura.com to receive a refund.<\/p>\n

People who purchased the sprays at retailers should return them to the place of purchase for a refund.<\/p>\n
