The Texas native was crowned during the second night of the live finale on Dec. 16, making Niall Horan<\/a> an undefeated coach. He took home the crown after performing ABBA<\/a>‘s “The Winner Takes It All<\/a>” and JVKE’s “Golden Hour<\/a>” one day earlier.<\/p>\n Following his victory, Ross wrote on Instagram<\/a> that he was at a “loss for words.”<\/p>\n “I am filled with so much joy and gratitude. If there\u2019s a spark, I\u2019m gonna fan that flame.”<\/p>\n Ross continued, “I wouldn\u2019t be where I am today without the Bryan-College Station community, so I feel like it\u2019s a joint effort. When you hit some of those bigger notes, you hit them with ease, and that makes me excited now that you’re 155% on the show and you’re going to be on Team Niall, obviously,” Horan said. “I’ve worked with similar voices to yours and had some success on the show previously. If you don’t pick me, I wish I could turn this chair around and never turn it again.”<\/p>\n Luckily for Horan, Ross chose to join Team Niall. Reflecting on his decision with KAMU, Ross said that the “Slow Hands” singer “writes and makes music that is most similar to the type of artist that [he aspires] to be.”<\/p>\n He continued, “It was the right decision for me at the right time, and it\u2019s been a great experience.”<\/p>\n He became “great friends” with his fellow contestants and learned a lot from Horan Trae Patton\/NBC<\/p>\n Ralph Edwards and Aiden Ross on ‘The Voice’<\/p>\n During his conversation with The Battalion, Ross opened up about the unique relationships he built with the other singers.<\/p>\n “It\u2019s almost been like a summer camp because we were all cooped up together in a hotel, and so we had a lot of time to get to know each other, and we all became great friends,” Ross said.<\/p>\n He continued, “I was pleasantly surprised to just see the quality of people on this show \u2014 really every person you see on that stage is a stand-up individual, everybody\u2019s really special.
