Join us at the Festival of Innovation on Thursday, 22 January at 2 pm GMT for our session Horror unleashed: innovation in thrills with guest speaker Kim Scott, general manager at Universal Horror Unleashed – Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

In this session, attendees will learn more about the new Universal experience<\/a> at AREA15, from its food and beverage options to how it adds easter eggs for HHN fans, and why repeatability and seasonal events are so important.<\/p>\n

The Festival of Innovation<\/a> is a free, online event taking place from 21 to 22 January 2026. It celebrates the creative ideas, products, and organisations advancing the attractions industry.<\/p>\n

Meet the speaker<\/p>\n

As general manager of Universal Horror Unleashed, Kim Scott leads the strategic business planning, entertainment, and operations for the new year-round horror experience in AREA15’s entertainment and events district.<\/p>\n

\"Three <\/p>\n

Scott has worked in the entertainment industry for over 25 years, with two decades in Las Vegas. <\/p>\n

Before joining Universal Destinations & Experiences<\/a>, Scott was the vice president of operations at Enchant, overseeing nine shows across the US and establishing key operating procedures and financial benchmarks.<\/p>\n

She also worked for Cirque du Soleil<\/a> for more than 13 years, leading production and show operations for KA, The Beatles LOVE, and CRISS ANGEL BELIEVE.<\/p>\n

Scott serves on numerous academic boards and is a board chair member for the entertainment, engineering and design programme at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

The blooloop Innovation Awards<\/a>, held in partnership with AREA15<\/a>, recognise the remarkable energy, creativity, and imagination that propel the attractions industry forward.<\/p>\n
