Selena \u2013 who has been running her own Rare Beauty brand since 2019 \u2013 previously opened up about her experience with another skin condition \u2013 acne \u2013 revealing it flares up when she gets stressed or becomes \u201clazy\u201d with her skincare routine.<\/p>\n
During an episode of Vogue\u2019s Beauty Secrets, she explained: \u201cI notice when I get stressed or something I break out more or I get lazy with my routine so I feel like it\u2019s just become a part of it.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd I just deal with whatever I got that day. When you are taking care of your skin you are taking care of your body and your mind and your soul just because I think it\u2019s all connected.\u201d<\/p>\n
She also previously she no longer feels as if she has to wear make-up to feel beautiful.<\/p>\n
In a 2020 essay for CNN, Selena explained: \u201cI used to think I had to wear makeup in order to feel pretty, but now I understand that I don\u2019t need make-up to feel beautiful. Now, I view makeup as an accessory and something to be excited about.<\/p>\n
