Seymour told the Herald it was fortunate the Epsom office carpark was mostly empty at this time of year.<\/p>\n

\u201cI put something under the tree, like everyone said, but it\u2019s gone horribly wrong,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

It is unclear what caused the incident and how damaged the vehicle was. <\/p>\n

This comes after his car made headlines<\/a> earlier this year. <\/p>\n

Seymour\u2019s vehicle was spotted speeding and undertaking another motorist on State Highway 1 in Auckland in September. <\/p>\n

In a video posted to Reddit, an Act-branded car with Seymour\u2019s face on it can be seen passing a fellow motorist from the left-hand lane.<\/p>\n

The person filming shows their speedometer, which sits at just under 110km\/h, and then pans to the car with Seymour\u2019s face on accelerating ahead.<\/p>\n

According to NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) road rules, drivers can only pass on the left when there are two or more lanes on your side of the centre line and you\u2019re able to pass safely by using the left-hand lane, a police officer gives direction to or if the vehicle being passed has stopped, is signalling a right turn or is turning right.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt all other times when you\u2019re passing, you must pass on the right,\u201d NZTA rules stated.<\/p>\n
