It\u2019s not uncommon for Housewives to defend one another\u2019s behavior, even across franchises. Dolores Catania<\/a> of The Real Housewives of New Jersey<\/a> has done this often on her podcast, and this time she comes to the defense of Meredith Marks<\/a> of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City<\/a> for taking a call mid-argument. However, Dolores\u2019 defense statement was rather strange.<\/p>\n

Dolores wants to \u201cmake out with the phone\u201d when her son Frankie Jr. calls her<\/p>\n

Dolores: \u201cThere was nothing wrong with [Meredith] taking Brooks’ call because when little Frankie calls me, I want to make out with the phone. I want to shove it down my throat. For context, things have been pretty dramatic on RHOSLC. While flying home from their exciting crossover trip<\/a>, Meredith supposedly got into a heated argument with Britani Bateman<\/a>. The two have had issues long before the plane debacle<\/a>, though (mistress accusations and yeeting unicorns<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Then the ladies went to Greece, and there was tension<\/a> between Heather Gay and Meredith during the ride. And as things began to escalate, and in the middle of Heather speaking, Meredith took a phone call from her son<\/a>, Brooks Marks.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to Meredith, she was upset that she missed a Mother\u2019s Day call earlier that day, so she had to answer. This was followed by a hilarious impersonation of Meredith by Heather in her confessional.<\/p>\n

Now, Dolores is coming to Meredith\u2019s defense about taking the phone call. As a mom, Dolores makes it clear that she will always take her son\u2019s call no matter what. That\u2019s not surprising for a mother. But it\u2019s the manner in which she said it that left fans bewildered.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was nothing wrong with (Meredith) taking Brooks\u2019 call because when little Frankie calls me, I want to make out with the phone. I want to shove it down my throat,\u201d Dolores said on Two T\u2019s in a Pod. \u201cSo I\u2019m taking that call no matter if I was in the middle of Watch What Happens Live.\u201d<\/p>\n

It seems a bit strange to phrase it that way. Fans on social media thought so, too. \u201cShe should have stopped at taking the call,\u201d one fan wrote. Another added, \u201cUh, that\u2019s a weird take. Taking the call? Sure. Making out with the phone? Creepy.\u201d<\/p>\n

She was probably using hyperbole to make a point, but there were probably better ways to do it.<\/p>\n
