New Zealand have a lead of 190 runs at lunch on the fourth day of the third Test against the West Indies at Mount Maunganui.<\/p>\n
The Black Caps finished the morning session on 35-0 with openers Devon Conway unbeaten on 25 and Tom Latham 6 not out.<\/p>\n
The composed batting performance from the pair on the deteriorating Bay Oval pitch came after they put on a record 323 runs for the first wicket on the first day of the Test.<\/p>\n
They continued what for the home side was a positive start which came after the wrapping up of the West Indies’ first innings. <\/p>\n
Resuming at 381-6 with Kavem Hodge unbeaten on 109, Jacob Duffy struck first to remove Anderson Phillip for 17 and Shai Hope for 4.<\/p>\n
Ajaz Patel then struck to remove Jayden Seales, with Kemar Roach nicking out to Michael Rae for a duck.<\/p>\n
New Zealand will want to score quickly today to build a lead of about 400 before putting the West Indies back in tonight.<\/p>\n
That would give them an hour or so against the Windies openers and a full day tomorrow to secure 10 wickets to wrap up the series.<\/p>\n
