{"id":194794,"date":"2025-12-21T10:57:04","date_gmt":"2025-12-21T10:57:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/194794\/"},"modified":"2025-12-21T10:57:04","modified_gmt":"2025-12-21T10:57:04","slug":"moore-threads-unveils-new-ai-chips-to-challenge-nvidia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/194794\/","title":{"rendered":"Moore Threads unveils new AI chips to challenge Nvidia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Chinese chip designer Moore Threads Technology has unveiled a suite of new products, including its next generation of chip architecture and artificial intelligence chips as it looks to challenge US chip-making heavyweights Nvidia and AMD.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">The Beijing-based firm, hailed as China\u2019s \u201clittle Nvidia\u201d, introduced two forthcoming chips Huashan and Lushan, named after two famous Chinese mountains, at a developer conference in the Chinese capital on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">The Huashan chip, designed for AI training and inference, delivers better performance than Nvidia\u2019s Hopper series and comes close to the US tech firm\u2019s newer Blackwell line, according to James Zhang Jianzhong, founder, chairman and CEO of Moore Threads.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">The launch marks Moore Threads\u2019 latest bid to challenge foreign rivals like Nvidia, and comes close on the heels of the company\u2019s blockbuster initial public offering on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on December 5.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Zhang Jianzhong, founder and CEO of Moore Threads, pictured in November 2023.
