Blake Shinn says his recovery from a broken leg is going well, but he won\u2019t be back in the saddle any time soon.<\/p>\n
The champion jockey told Racenet he felt he was still \u201ca couple of months\u201d away from returning to race riding.<\/p>\n
That would mean he\u2019s likely to miss the first couple of key Group 1 meetings in Victoria in February.<\/p>\n
The four-time Scobie Breasley Medal winner broke the left tibia and fibula in his leg during a fall on Melbourne Cup Day.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe leg feels good,\u201d Shinn told Racenet.<\/p>\n
\u201cObviously, I\u2019m still on crutches and in the moon boot, which is what the doctor says.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re seven weeks in.<\/p>\n
