Thursday customers will be serviced on Friday, and Friday customers will be serviced Saturday the weeks of December 21 and December 29.<\/p>\n<p>Rumpke expects to see even more trash at the curb the next few weeks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTraditionally we see about 25 percent more trash and recycling the weeks following Christmas,\u201d said Molly Yeager, communications manager, Rumpke. \u201cIt\u2019s more cardboard boxes, more bottles and cans and more paper.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Yeager added that the Rumpke team will also encounter items not accepted in its trash or recycling programs including liquids, household hazardous waste and batteries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust like Santa, we have a naughty and nice list,\u201d said Yeager. \u201cBefore you place your material at the curb, please review our curbside guidelines to help protect the Rumpke team, the motoring public and first responders.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rumpke\u2019s Naughty and Nice List<\/p>\n<p>Nice List (acceptable items)<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Non-foil wrapping paper<br \/>\u2022 Cardboard boxes<br \/>\u2022 Paper gift bags<br \/>\u2022 Gift boxes<br \/>\u2022 Postcards, greeting cards and envelopes<br \/>\u2022 Newspapers and sales ads<br \/>\u2022 Junk mail<br \/>\u2022 Clean pizza boxes<br \/>\u2022 Paperboard (like cracker &amp; cereal boxes)<br \/>\u2022 Glass bottles &amp; jars<br \/>\u2022 Beverage cartons<br \/>\u2022 Aluminum &amp; steel cans<\/p>\n<p>Naughty List (not accepted):<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Lithium-ion batteries<br \/>\u2022 Christmas lights<br \/>\u2022 Ornaments<br \/>\u2022 Christmas trees (real or artificial)<br \/>\u2022 Tissue paper<br \/>\u2022 Ribbons &amp; bows<br \/>\u2022 Foil wrapping paper<br \/>\u2022 Toys<br \/>\u2022 Candles &amp; candle holders<br \/>\u2022 Greeting cards with sound (these contain lithium-ion batteries and should not be discarded in trash or recycling)<br \/>\u2022 Styrofoam<br \/>\u2022 Plastic packaging (packing peanuts, bubble wrap, etc.)<\/p>\n<p>For those residents looking ahead to January and the disposal of Christmas trees, Rumpke says they can be placed curbside the first two weeks of January, at no additional cost. Trees should be free of all decorations.
