Princess Anne delivered a “humble” response during the royal walkabout at Sandringham on Christmas Day, which has left royal fans raining praise on the 75-year-old.<\/p>\n

The Princess Royal walked alongside her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, when a member of the public got her attention.<\/p>\n

The well-wisher handed Anne a bouquet of yellow roses, as the princess said: “Are you sure? I’m probably the last person standing.”<\/p>\n

The fan responded: “You’re the first to me every year”, before sharing that she had “picked” the flowers because Anne’s mother, Queen Elizabeth II, was fond of them.<\/p>\n

Anne, who is renowned for her quick wit and sense of humour, replied: “You didn’t pick these yourself, did you? <\/p>\n

“I was going to say, your garden is doing better than mine!”<\/p>\n

The clip has amassed over 1.5 million views on social media, with royal fans praising the Princess Royal for her demeanour and mannerisms.<\/p>\n

One individual wrote: “She’ll always be first in my book too, wonderful down-to-earth, hard-working lady.”<\/p>\n

The 77-year-old monarch outpaced his sister by 50 duties, with the Princess Royal completing 478 engagements despite working more individual days than her brother.<\/p>\n

Charles’s tally represents nearly a quarter of all 2,458 official royal duties recorded this year. His schedule included visits across Britain alongside overseas trips to Italy, Canada and Poland.<\/p>\n

The King increased his workload at the beginning of 2025 following encouraging developments in his cancer care.<\/p>\n

He announced this month that his treatment will be scaled back in the New Year, attributing this progress to early detection, effective care and adherence to medical advice.<\/p>\n

Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh, secured third position in the rankings with 313 engagements, making him the only other royal to reach the 300s bracket.<\/p>\n

His wife Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, followed in fourth place, having completed 235 duties.<\/p>\n

Queen Camilla, 78, ranked fifth with 228 engagements over the 12 months. The Duke of Gloucester came sixth, carrying out 212 duties throughout the year.<\/p>\n

Prince William, heir to the throne, placed seventh with 202 engagements.
