The Republican explained the bruising on his hand as the result of aspirin that he takes daily to thin his blood. \u201cI don\u2019t want thick blood pouring through my heart,\u201d he told the Journal.<\/p>\n
He said he applies make-up or bandages when his hand is \u201cwhacked\u201d.<\/p>\n
One cut, he said, was caused when his attorney general Pam Bondi hit the back of his hand with her ring while giving him a high-five.<\/p>\n
Explanations of his health issues have been inconsistent.<\/p>\n
Trump himself told reporters that he underwent an MRI scan in October, but said at the time he had \u201cno idea what they analysed\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhatever they analysed, they analysed it well, and they said that I had as good a result as they\u2019ve ever seen,\u201d he said initially.<\/p>\n
To the Journal, Trump said it was not an MRI, \u201cit was less than that. It was a scan.\u201d<\/p>\n
Trump\u2019s doctor, Sean Barbabella, confirmed to the newspaper that a CT scan \u2013 a procedure that takes far less time than an MRI \u2013 was done \u201cto definitively rule out any cardiovascular issues\u201d.<\/p>\n
Trump pushed back against any idea that he falls asleep in public.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve never been a big sleeper,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n
Instances where he appears to be dozing off are just moments of relaxation, he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ll just close. It\u2019s very relaxing to me,\u201d he said. \u201cSometimes they\u2019ll take a picture of me blinking, blinking, and they\u2019ll catch me with the blink.\u201d<\/p>\n
