\n\tOlivia Dean<\/a> is still doing all the talking on Australia\u2019s charts in 2026.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe English singer and songwriter starts the New Year on a high in the land Down Under, where she completes another chart double.<\/p>\n

\n\tDean\u2019s sophomore album The Art Of Loving (via Universal) leads the ARIA Albums Chart<\/a> for a fifth non-consecutive week, while \u201cMan I Need\u201d rules the ARIA Singles Chart<\/a> for a seventh week.<\/p>\n

\n\tAccording to ARIA<\/a>, \u201cMan I Need\u201d becomes the longest reigning single by a solo female artist since Sabrina Carpenter\u2019s \u201cTaste\u201d topped the leaderboard for eight weeks in 2024.<\/p>\n

\n\tAdd another week and you have the longest-running No. 1 by a female English artist, Kate Bush, whose 1985 song \u201cRunning Up That Hill\u201d topped out for nine weeks in 2022, thanks to its sync in season four of Stranger Things. The all-time crown belongs to Tones And I\u2019s \u201cDance Monkey,\u201d a monster which led the ARIA Chart for 24 non-consecutive weeks in 2019 and 2020.<\/p>\n

\n\tFurther down the latest ARIA Singles Chart, published late Friday, Jan. 2, Dean\u2019s \u201cSo Easy (To Fall In Love)\u201d dips 5-7 and \u201cNice To Each Other\u201d holds at No. 9. The Brit will show her fans some love this October, when she embarks on a six-date east coast arena tour<\/a> of Australia and New Zealand, produced by Handsome Tours and Laneway Presents.<\/p>\n

\n\tNo new titles appear on the latest singles frame, and the only homegrown recording to make an impact is Tame Impala<\/a>\u2019s \u201cDracula\u201d (Columbia\/Sony), improving 41-37.<\/p>\n

\n\tOver on the ARIA Albums Chart, the entire top 10 is stacked with albums that have logged at least one week at No. 1. All are pop, with the exception of Pink Floyd\u2019s Wish You Were Here (50th Anniversary Edition) (via Columbia\/Sony), down 7-8, and Tyler, The Creator\u2019s Chromakopia (Columbia\/Sony), down 8-10.<\/p>\n

\n\tJust one title debuts in the top 50, $uicideBoy$\u2019s<\/a> Thy Will Be Done (Orchard). It\u2019s new at No. 32. Thy Will Be Done is the New Orleans, LA hip-hop duo\u2019s sixth studio album, and the followup to 2024\u2019s New World Depression, which peaked at No. 6 in Australia.<\/p>\n
