A new Avengers: Secret Wars<\/a> rumor provides some insight into how Doctor Doom<\/a> will create Battleworld.<\/p>\n

Marvel Studios<\/a>\u2019 Avengers: Doomsday<\/a> is currently in post-production. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, also known as the Russo Brothers, the movie will be released in United States theaters at the end of this year. The sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, then follows in 2027.<\/p>\n

What is the Avengers: Secret Wars rumor?<\/p>\n

In Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribi\u0107\u2019s Secret Wars comic, the Marvel Multiverse is destroyed after a series of incursions. Doctor Doom, however, manages to save pieces from various universes and then uses them to form a new planet called Battleworld, which he rules over.<\/p>\n

While official plot details for Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars remain under wraps at this time, Marvel<\/a> fans are expecting the movies to feature an incursion that will result in the creation of Battleworld. Now, per scooper James Mack<\/a>, some new details have come to light regarding how Battleworld will be created.<\/p>\n

Mack reports that, once the incursion happens, \u201cone group will survive in the Quantum Realm and another on a ship\/raft over the ground of the Void (TVA) when Doom creates Battleworld. In the Void, Doom is like Cassandra Nova, but ruling everything, the GOD.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the MCU<\/a>, the Void (not to be confused with the Void featured in Thunderbolts*, which is a different concept entirely) is a wasteland at the end of time that has been seen in the Loki TV show and Deadpool & Wolverine. Assuming that Mack\u2019s scoop is correct, this might mean that Battleworld might be a place that Doom creates within the Void rather than being a brand-new planet.<\/p>\n

Mack also seemingly confirmed<\/a> a theory suggesting that Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania\u2019s Cassie Lang, who is played by Kathryn Newton in the MCU, will be the one to take certain characters into the Quantum Realm when the incursion happens. While Newton\u2019s casting has not yet been officially confirmed by Marvel, she was recently seen<\/a> donning an Avengers: Doomsday production hat.<\/p>\n

Avengers: Doomsday arrives on December 18, 2026.
